Rules & Regulations
A detailed outline of all rules and regulations are posted on the bulletin boards at all designated recreation areas. Please pay attention to all posted regulations regarding fire restrictions, fee requirements, quiet hours, etc.
Warnings
Fires
Due to high fire danger, campfire regulations are strictly enforced. Fires are limited to designated areas only. Any fires outside of designated areas require special-use permits. It is strongly recommended that all fires are kept small and required that fires are dead out if unattended.
Wildlife
The Shasta-Trinity National Forest is home to a variety of wildlife including squirrels, foxes, eagles, and deer as well as mountain lions, black bear, and rattlesnakes. Although danger to humans is minimal, pay attention to posted information and instructions regarding potential dangers.
Vegetation
The Shasta-Trinity National Forest is also home to a variety of vegetation including the unfriendly Poison Oak. Contact with Poison Oak may cause an itchy, red rash that can be aggravated by heat and water. Please, pay attention to posted information on how to identify and avoid contact with Poison Oak.
